Had a quick stop in Queenstown but I am just not a fan of that place so kept on going to Wanaka. Much more chilled out and relaxed. From Stewart I headed north and through Invercargill, where I met up with a friend from the packhouse for the journey up the west coast. Lots of places to stop and amazing scenery. After deliberating about going to Stewart Island I bit the bullet and booked accomm and the ferry. So glad I did. The expense was totally worth it! I timed it with some of the best weather I've had since I arrived and it showed off Stewart to its fullest. Headed on to Dunedin for a couple of days where I packed in museum, chinese garden, Larnach castle and plenty walking. The steepest street in the world, Baldwin St, nearly killed me but was worth it. A couple of weeks of cherry picking led to a week of doing nothing waiting for another job to come up. Spent my time chilling out by a lake and reading. Finally got a job in Roxburgh in a cherry packhouse. Nice to get to work with more people and in a different atmosphere.
