Monday March 8th ---Day Four
Today we woke up at 6am in order to get the camp packed up and be on the road by 7am.It was mostly a driving day today, trying to make some good progress on kilometers.Guess who was sitting shotty and being the DJ!?Our new driver, Craig, who also just happens to be the company's mechanic, joined us today.Good thing too because the air con in the van that broke down yesterday went kaput!Craig tried fixing it but he needed a part so the 15 extra people squeezed into the other 2 buses and we continued on as Craig backtracked to the nearest town in search of spare parts. The drive up to Coral Bay was a HOT one.The outside temperature was about 40 degrees and since the buses were overloaded we had to drive 20km/hr slower than usual.I definitely lucked out though since I was sitting shotgun! It's like I knew it was going to break down today!Anyways after the torturous drive we arrived at beautiful Coral Bay.We set up camp and then hit the beach for a sunset swim.He area is a fish sanctuary so it is prohibited to fish in the area. Therefore fish are pretty abundant and curious. We even saw a few stingrays in the shallow water. After watching the sunset (probably the best one I've ever seen) I headed back to camp for "tea" ---beef bourguignon.
