Saturday March 6th ---Day Two
Today we were up, packed and on the bus by 7am!They sure don't lie around here about early mornings. We continued to head North (big surprise), making our first stop at the cliffs of Kalbarri. The scenery was gorgeous and reminded me of my time along the Great Ocean Road when I was last out in Australia with my parents.I wouldn't say the cliffs were better than the 12 Apostles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Twelve_Apostles_(Victoria), but they were still spectacular! After the cliffs it was a short drive into the town of Kalbarri. Here we spent a few hours on the beach swimming.A bunch of us swam out to a nearby landmass and explored before returning to the beach. The group ate lunch at a picnic area on the beach and then continued on with our bus adventure. Our next road stop was to check out the gorges at Hawks Head. These were lovely as well and very welcomed after a few hours of bus travel.Along the way we stopped at Billabong Roadhouse (aka a truckstop) where we were told it was 38 degrees---beauty!(Nothing compared to the 43 degrees it was the other day at uni!)Our last stop for the day was at Hamelin Pool. Here we stayed at a campground with LOTS of flies. The flies don't really seem to bother me that much... I guess I'm used to black flies at home. The majority of the group is already rocking their fly nets.I borrowed one from my Aussie flat mate, but we'll see if I use it!We ate later again tonight, but it was definitely worth the wait!We had sausages and lamb shanks on the Barbie with mashed potatoes. The campground has karaoke at night, so it was inevitable that our group would participate.NOTE: it wasn't quite the Roo and no theme party was held prior to the epic singing therefore I couldn't bring myself to belt out some Piano Man or "thank you Hamilton Ontario!"---I know I let you all down… all will be made up for upon my return home. PROMISE.

David Oh, I'm going to hold you to that promise now that I know you do karaoke.
