Mon Oct 11th 2010 --- And it's off to Lismore!

A bit of a slow and lazy start this morning… mostly for Simon who needs to learn how to say "no thanks" when offered a drink!He just can't keep up with the Aussie blokes' drinking! While Simon was recuperating for the previous night, mom, dad, Jan, Cathleen and I went for a wee drive to check out the flooded roads and closures caused by the storms.We stopped at a really cool beach town where we picked up some awesome Moroccan burgers and Eggplant burgers.YUM!

We then said goodbye to Jan and re-packed our rental in search of Lismore. Here we were warmly greeted by Maree and her daughter Mirinda later in the afternoon.We enjoyed a lovely dinner and caught up on each others' lives.(For those who don't know, Maree is the teacher that swapped with my aunt & uncle when they did a teacher's exchange to Australia.My family was their "community sponsor" so we became fairly well acquainted during their stay in Canada).
