November 8th 2010 --- Hervey Bay to Byron Bay

Today was essentially another full-on travel day.We caught a 9am Greyhound from Hervey Bay and headed south to Brisbane (about 5 hours of driving).In Brisbane, we had a 2-hour layover, so we grabbed a pizza for lunch and wandered through some shops in the transit center.Another few hours of driving and we finally reached Byron Bay.We made friends with a lovely English girl (Becky) who just happened to be staying at the Nomads hostel as well!When we arrived, the 3 of us ventured to the hostel, which was quite "flash"... definitely the best one so far.(There was even a Canadian guy working the front desk whose favourite band was The Loved Ones... so come on, it's gotta be a great place!)We checked into our room, which was a 5-person dorm with a bunk bed and another bunk but with a double below.There were only 3 of us in the room, Al, me and a lovely lady from Victoria, Australia who was attending a conference on intuition.In the evening, we decided to socialize with our neighbours who turned out to be Canadian as well!This hostel is full of Canadians, which is weird because we haven't met any since Cairns!
