On Wednesday we took the coach for 6 hours and got to Oaxaca City, a pretty colonial style city with a nice relaxed vibe. The centre of town was a square surrounded my cafes where people chilled out and listened to live music which always seemed to be going on. Sometimes in several places simultaneously. We just relaxed and walked around. We saw the beautiful white and gold church of Santo Domingo and its monastery which was turned into a museum with endless rooms on all things Mexican. On our last day we were feeling stronger and took a trip to Monte Alban. These were ruins on top of a mountain surrounded by 3 different valleys and was built by the Zapotecs (pre-Aztecs). Absolutely stunning location, the pictures don´t do it justice. Partly because the battery on the camera ran out.
We were itching to get the Pacific coast to see the sea and try horse riding so we left on Sunday, and headed by minivan to Huatulco.
