Lush Life
Hey, guess what!
I have a place to live, i went there on Sunday night to check it out, its actually the only place ive viewed although ive been in touch with a few others, but straight away i knew i liked the apartment, and i clicked with the 2 girls that live there instantly, which obviously is the main thing! Its 3 min walk from darling harbour, and 15 min walk to circular quay (which is where the opera house etc is). Its also right next to the tube station, and bus's and theres millions of shops to be able to apply for jobs. I'm thinking a clothes shop of some kind at the mo, i've seen loads of vacancies in their windows, so i'm off to get apps soon.
I'm chuffed with the apartment though. It's in this dead posh building, on the 21st floor, and has a swimming pool, gym, squash courts, all included as i'l live in the building. The apartment itself has 2 rooms, and 2 bathrooms, a huge living room that opens out onto a balcony/sunroom, and a posh kitchen. The girl who owns the house obviously has the master bedroom and an ensuite, and then i share a room and bathroom with another girl. There is also an additional girl viewing on Tue, and Olivia (the owner of the apartment) said if she likes it, and they like her, then she'l let her stay in the room with Jess, and convert the sunroom into a bedroom for me, as i said i was happy to stay in there. It'l mean having my own room, and theres 2 glass walls, offering fab views!
The girls themselves are great, Olivia is from England and lives and works in Aus now, and Jess is from Germany, but speaks perfect English. And we got on straight away, especially when Olivia asked if i wanted a drink. Naturally i wasn't going to refuse, and we spent 3 hours drinking and getting to know each other. She likes to go out alot, and has loads of friends in Sydney, alot of whom have stayed with her at some point, and are British travellers. She was telling me about the parties she's had etc. I think i'm going to have fun! So, i can stay there til the end of June, when she goes back home, which suits me fine anyway, at least its security for a good few months.
So, I move in on Wed, i have my keys now, so i can move my things in in stages (with having alot of bags) but i said i wanted to stay at the hostel til then, cos there are some good trips and nights out in the next few days that i want to be involved in to make more friends, and as my new house is only a 10 min walk from here, i can still come back and hang out with the people ive met here, who work here and so are here for a while! We've all had some right nights out so far, it's fab!
So, yeah, really exited, and i'm chuffed that after just 4 days i have a place to live, and now im getting really settled. I can't belive i live in Sydney. I chose city life, cos although i like the beach, i went to Bondi the other and it was too much, so many people about. So i though living in the city means im by all the jobs, and central to everything, including all the beaches which are all a bus ride away! And close to my friends from the hostel etc etc.
Enjoy my pictures, speak to you all soon xxx
