After five weeks in Peru we finally left on Thursday. During our final days in Cuzco we did a bit of shopping, I had a lovely massage, we used the net and watched the new Pixar film Wall E which was good, although the quality of the DVD was bad. Wow, what an amazing few days we just had. Last Thursday we set off to do the Inca Trail. We had a meeting with our trekking company (Llama Path) the evening before and they´d told us that, due to a transport strike that has been going on here, they´d pick us up at an earlier time of 4am. Pure joy. So Thursday morning we got up at 3.30am and were down in reception by 4am. They didn´t turn up until 4.45am! You can imagine how impressed we all were. Eventually...

We have returned from the Amazon and had the most amazing time there. The day after I last blogged we went on another trip to Lake Titicaca´s islands. Our main stop was Taquile island, but we stopped at "the floating islands" again on the way.
