So after I last wrote we went off and caught a coach to Nazca, although it was an hour late leaving. That´s just Peruvian time-keeping for you! The coach journey was a bit disturbing due to films they choose to show. They were all really violent and because it was dark outside for most of the journey we were forced to watch them. This past week has been really quite wet, but that hasn't really stopped us from doing anything. We started off in Rotorua, by visiting a park there that had loads of thermal features that looked like something on a sci-fi film set. Today we have arrived in smelly Rotorua, which has hundreds of thermal springs (hence the smell). On our way here we passed through a national park that was used as Mordor in Lord of the Rings. With its mixed vegetation and looming volcanoes it was easy to see why. Although that being said, I think the whole of NZ looks like it was used in those films.
