Flight from East Mids to Pisa was good and caught a bus to Lucca. Old hotel in the old town is good and just had meal at trattoria next door. Lucca is stunning and very laid back which creates a lovely relaxing atmosphere. We are off tomorrow but will hopefully return when we have finished our walk.

We left Muxia yesterday after a memorable 2 days as the place really got to us. The church on the edge if the Atlantic with sea crashing around it was literally awesome. Caught the Pilgrims bus back to Santiago and checked into a grim hotel called the Nest. That aside being back here again feels great and we have explored more of the city than ever before. We retraced our steps from 5 years ago which brought back great memories. Ate bereberechos which are clams...

Well we have walked the final 10 miles to Muxia on the Costa Del Morte ' the coast of death'. Great walk and Muxia is a very significant place on the Camino trail. Worshipped by the Druids long before the Romans or Saint John were around it is very atmospheric. The sea crashing into these giant rocks around the old church was a great sight in beautiful sunshine. After a superb meal of Clams,Razor Clams,Hake and Tuna we slept well. View from restaurant was spectacular. Today was probably one of the best walks we have ever done - to Lires. The start was through quiet forests of pine and eucalyptus trees. Then we followed the coast with great coves and beaches in full sun. The beach and estuary at Lires are gorgeous . The hotel is good and we are booked in for the 3 course pilgrims meal for 12 euros inc wine and coffee!!

Yesterday we had a lovely walk to the end of the Cape of Finisterre in glorious sunshine. Sadly once we got there so had 2 coaches so the symbolic moment was ruined by a load Frenchies! Anyway we left pretty sharpish and had lunch and a sleep on the beach. The seafood here is sensational.
