Day 1
Today we spent half a day on the bus heading from Germany into the Netherlands where we stopped at a cheese farm and saw cheese and clog making demonstrations. We also managed to play a game of cricket (I think the Americans are getting more aussie culture than european with all us aussies). After finally arriving in the Amsterdam we had a couple of hours of free time to get dinner and have a wonder. This city is very multi cultural with a wide range of restaurants to choose from. I had the best spare ribs, fries and fresh bread mmm washed down with Warfteiner beer (it tasted like lemon). Lauren got another bout of gastro so she didn't enjoy her salad but Merin finished it for her while Prue enjoyed a steak. We joined our group (Lauren stayed in the night as she was feeling sick) and walked over to the red light district and saw a "cultural show" at the moulin rough. All our boys got up on stage, Lion had to pull ribbon out from the first girl, John was written on "the end" and Damo, Jimmy and Rob jad to eat the banana. To add to the cultural experiance Prue and Merin ate space cake. Later on we went to a couple of bars, but Prue and my nights were ended early as Merin had too much space cake and became too paranoid so we walked her home . There were too many weiredos so we all went to bed.
Day 2
Todays our second last day on tour and where all getting a little sad. This morning we went on Mikes bikes city tour taking us through The english garden - the largest metropolitan park in europe, and past the Van Goh museum and Ann Frank's house. Lauren, Prue, John and I decided to hire bikes for the day to get the Amsterdam experiance (there's over a million bikes on the streets every day). Our first stop was Rijksmuseum which holds 17 century art. We had to stop at a coffee shop for John, before meeting up with Merin for lunch at a mexican restaurant. Next we went to see Ann Frank's house which had a eerie atmosphere but really glad I saw it. Merin and John left us to meet the boys (who had actually gone back to bed), and Prue, Lauren and I got lost as we have in every city we've been. Fotunately a pro cyclist led us to our next destination The Heiniken Brewery Museum the coolest place ever. We made our way back to our hotel though the crazy streets with trams, cars, bikes and people just in time. We got ready in 15 minutes. We met the group and caught the tram to a chinese restaurant on the water. Later on we went on a river cruise along the canals, then hit the town for a last hoorah. An awesome night ending at Mcdonalds.
