We arrived in San Francisco around 1030, and caught the train into the city and hiked up one of the many hills to our hostel. After settling down we went out and caught our first cable car from union square to fishermans warf, where we ate crabs and clam chowder for lunch. We ran out of money after buying tickets for a tour of alcatraz which later we found out was a poacher and scamed an extra $80 out of us. So we had to walk back to our hostel but found some really cool streets on the way (the most crooked st in the world).
Day two, we caught the ferry over to alcatraz. We had an audio tour around the prison, where you can still see where the granaids hit the floor in the bloodiest battle in US prison history. The crazy thing about alcatraz is that the prisoners can see the city as its only a mile off shore and everyone else could see them.
Day three, We biked the bridge. Starting from the fishermans warf to the Golden Gate Bridge and over it. Than we had lunch in Sausalito a small town on the waters edge and continued on to the Mill Valley where Lauren fell off her bike into the mud while trying to ride over a plank on wood. Mill Valley was very pretty, although this is where we got lost. Lauren eventually found the way back on track after many detours. We finally arived at Tiburon after another detour 7 hours since starting our ride, right before the last ferry. We spent the rest of the night groaning of our pain.
Day Four, we are just wandering the streets and might go check out china town and the Transamerica Pyramid.
