We were up for breakfast at 6.30 this morning and then picked up at 7 for our DMZ tour. This is basically a tour around the key places that fall near what was the border between South and North Vietnam when the two were separated. This was a zone where military troops were banned from. Our first night bus actually went pretty smoothly! After watching a couple of films we both settled down to sleep at around 11pm. I slept through till the bus stopped to drop some people off at 4am and then slept a bit more until just before we were dropped off at 7am. After breakfast this morning we finished packing and checked out. We had a whole day to kill before our night bus so we decided to check out some of the places we still haven't seen in Hanoi. We were up early this morning for our trip to Halong Bay! After a quick breakfast, we grabbed our stuff from our room and waited to be picked up from reception. The bus arrived about 8.15 and we started the 4 hour drive to Halong. Both of us managed to sleep for the first half before the rest stop.
