After our night at the ice bar we got up fairly early yesterday morning. The first thing we did was make our way to the post office so we could all send some of the things we didn't want or need back home. Was really simple and didn't cost us too much either!
We then went to McDonald's for breakfast, which was lush! It was a bit of a wait but around 11.15 we were picked up for our trip. We started by stopping at a view point for some pictures before moving on to the grandmother and grandfather rocks which are supposed to be shaped like male and female genitals! After this we went to a monkey show, which wasn't too bad - it just demonstrated how the monkeys were used to pick coconuts. We then went to the mummified monk which was a bit strange. We went to the waterfall next which was beautiful but quite a walk which was hard work after the day before! After an hour there we went to see the big Buddha. This was incredible but me Ben and Hana had forgotten to wear clothing that covered us properly so weren't allowed right up to it. Although to be honest you probably got a better view from a distance!
Finally we went to another temple which had lots of different Buddhist statues. Then we made our way back to the hostel where we had left our bags before getting a taxi back to Jinta hotel where we had spent our first night in Koh Samui. It was another chilled night as we had another early start this morning to make our way to Koh Phi Phi. We had another lovely 7/11 dinner whilst playing cards before getting ready for bed.
This morning we were up and getting toasties from 7/11 by 7am! So far we have had a ferry and a bus before a long wait for the transfer to the pier to get to Koh Phi Phi. After the next ferry it was quite a bit of a trek to our next accommodation but we are finally here! It has air con and a pool so a little bit of luxury for the next few days!
