Last night we went for another look in town and found a good night market where we got some lovely street food! We were pretty tired fairly early so got as good a sleep as possible whilst adjusting to the change in accommodation!
We were up early this morning for our trip to the marine park but it was so worth it! We got a boat over to the islands and started with a long boat journey to a beach where we could walk up to a view point overlooking the emerald lake. It was beautiful but quite a trek with lots of really steep and narrow stairs!
Free we had made our way back to the beach we kayaked around the islands and back to a start point. This was hard work but we got to practically kayak under the island as they all appear to be floating where the rocks eroded underneath.
We stopped for lunch for a bit and made our way to another island where you can climb to the top for an incredible view of all the islands. Ben and Hana made it to the 500m top point but me and Shane stopped at 350m. It doesn't sound very far but it is a really rough and rocky climb and Shane was feeling a bit dehydrated. We still got incredible views from this point.
On the way down I slipped and caught my knee on a sharp rock which really hurt! When we got to the bottom we waited for Ben and Hana and then I went to first aid to get patched up. It looked a lot less impressive when he had wiped the blood off! It's pretty bruised now though!
We made our way back to the hostel after this where we got ready and went for a walk in town, grabbed some food and then went to the ice bar in Koh Samui!
It was so strange! They give you hats, gloves and coats to go into this bar which is -7 degrees! Everything in there is made of ice! It was only a small area but it was full of really impressive ice sculptures!
After the long day we had we only stayed for a drink before making our way back. We are going on another tour tomorrow, and have stuff to sort out in the morning before we move back to Jinta city, where we first stayed and then leave Koh Samui!
