Yesterday we finally did something other than lazing on the beach! We were up early and ready for our boat trip and in true Asian style didn't leave for an hour after we were supposed to!
The boat was one of the long tail ones with quite a few people on, but not too cramped so was quite enjoyable looking at the sea and islands. We visited three of the islands over the day, stopping at two of them for a swim and a snorkel and one to spend a bit of time on the beaches. It was really lovely and, apart from being stung by a sea urchin, a really good day.
We met an English couple who had stayed on one of the islands and were using the boat to get back to the mainland. They were hoping to get a nightbus to siem reap that evening so we had hoped to catch them on otres1 before they left for a couple of drinks. However we got caught up talking to some guy from New Zealand at a bar just down from where we staying and they weren't there when we finally made our way to the other end of the beach. We stayed for a few drinks and some food though, which was really good and cheap! It seems quite nice down there, but more livelier than otres2 and closer and less intense than serendipity.
Today is another lazy one, both of us have been feeling unwell on and off the last couple of days so were going to take some time to rest it and feel better hopefully!
