So I thought Kuala Lumpur was hectic... Bangkok is like 12 times worse! And on top of that, I can't read anything so getting around is a nightmare! Need to get out of here!

I took the overnight train from Penang in the end. Had a really bad feeling about the bus because apparently they steal from you while you are sleeping, and we would have had to wait for like 4 hours in Hat Yai which is dangerous and not recommended for travelling through due to Muslim separatists bombing the area in recent years.

So train it was! It went painfully slowly and kept stopping but otherwise an uneventful journey. It took almost 24 hours to arrive in Bangkok, but we were in beds and the scenery was nice and I was reading a good book so no worries!

So Bangkok... I have been here only for a couple of hours and already feel I have had enough! Only here for one night though, tomorrow I am off to the Bridge over the river Kwai. I've had enough of big congested cities! Plus, everything is written in Thai here: In Malaysia they use Roman letters so places and names were vaguely recogniseable. Here, forget it!

So hopefully my next entry will come from a better place!
