So last night turned into 2 hours at cafe del sol with carol and nick from Guernsey. Mel knows them from home so we sat and discussed travels and home.
Then went for a coconut oil massage for an hour - amazing! Skin feels so soft now. Power cut half way through didn't phase the masseuse either.
This morning we had to pack again...I swear my bag is shrinking as it becomes harder every time!
We finally finished, checked out and wandered around trying to find somewhere for breakfast. Somewhere big enough for us to sit with rucksacks near us. Settled on a place just down the pier, quickly shoved the food down and headed to the pier. It was the usual cattle market with everyone pushing and shoving to get on the boat.
2 hours later we were back in chumphon. Quick pineapple smoothie and then we were on the bus back to Bangkok!
The bus journey was surprisingly not too bad and the movies chosen by the bus driver weren't bad - real steel was a particularly good choice and helped to pass 2 hours.
Stopped at a service station on route and basically recreated the starter dumpling platter from china red - but the real deal!! Was so yummy!
Finally made it to Bangkok and we were so pleased to have booked a hotel just around the corner from where we were dropped off as we were shattered which made our bags feel so much heavier! Quickly checked in, dumped the bags and headed down the road for dinner.
Then we got our grandma on, judging people's clothing choices and drinking habits. Four eighteen year old girls on the table next to us had slightly too much, laughing, tears and arguments followed in the next hour...much to our amusement!
Got back to the hotel around 11.30 and basically took a short course in death!
Woke this morning feeling refreshed. Headed downstairs to get a taxi to the hotel near the airport as today is the last day in Thailand.
The hotel was a joke! For starters the taxi driver had no idea where he was going - a common theme from our travels. Then the hotel has no recollection of our booking even though funds left my account. The room was spacious but rather dirty.
Headed to the restaurant for dinner only to find it completely empty and signs pointing up stairs with half naked thai ladies on them - we were pretty convinced this hotel actually doubled up as brothel!
So room service it was - orders five dishes to share, door goes, only 2 have arrived and we are being charged for all of them...ugh nope! After much debating - well arm movements and pointing since no one spoke English and all was sorted. Still hungry we decided to just go to bed! Two powercuts then followed! Need less to say I will not be staying there again or recommending them!
Next morning checked out early and headed to the airport for breakfast. After a few hours of browsing the shops we are now sat at the gate waiting to board the plane to Sydney to begin the next chapter of our travelling story....
