Today we were up at 6am for our pick-up that would take us to Krabi, a few hours away on the West coast of Thailand. We drove the short distance to the port, where we'd booked to catch the Lomprayah catamaran to Surat Thani on the mainland. Today Dave and I planned to go to the beach - a 2 minute walk from the hotel! Chris was still suffering with his sunburn so decided to stay inside out of the sun, but we arranged to meet him at lunchtime in the bar for some food. Ouch! Today, Dave and I woke up at about 1pm and Chris wasn't around. Not to worry, he soon returned from his lunch along the beach and helped us to fill in some of the gaps in our memories of last night! Full moon party day! We began with breakfast at a restaurant overlooking beautiful Haad Salad beach. Although we've seen plenty of good beaches, it's the first time since Fiji that we've seen a beach this perfect - palm trees, shallow, crystal clear water, soft white sand…paradise!
