After travelling through the night we woke up at The Grand Canyon National Park at about 6am. We made breakfast and lunch before heading into the park. We started by catching the free shuttle bus to the visitors centre (after booking our helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon for tomorrow - $250 each!). We were really tired from not getting a lot of sleep on the bus but we set off for the Rim trail and walked along the South Rim of the Canyon with Krystal, taking photos as we went. It was yet another spectacular landscape - getting used to these now on this trip!

We were going to attempt another trail (with Raz who had joined us) after this but we were all falling asleep on the shuttle bus so we decided to head back to the campsite where an early dinner was being prepared.

After eating, we set off back to teh Rim to watch the sunset - the colours were amazing and the canyon looked even better than during the day. Our last stop for the day was a star gazing free event ran by the rangers at the Canyon. Lots of astronomers had set up their telescopes in the car parks adn you could look through them at the stars. We managed to see Saturn before tiredness overtook us and we went back to camp - we were asleep by 10pm!
