We were up early (again!) for breakfast before getting the shuttle bus to the airport for our helicopter ride! We got a bit lost at the airport looking for the company we had booked with (there are a lot!) and a really nice woman from a rival company gave us a lift in the end! We got there just in time and paid our fares then had to wait until our pilot called our names.
Our pilot was called Tanner and had a bionic leg (we didn't ask...). He was really nice and went through everything with us. Along with us, Krystal and Rosa there were a couple from Denmark on our helicopter. The flight was amazing and Tanner gave us a lot of information along the way. He anwered all of our questions (we could hear each other on our individual headsets!), including Krystal asking if we'd flown over the whole canyon and he said we'd only seen about 5%!
When we got back to the park we went to the cafe for lunch. As we didn't feel like doing any more hiking we sat for a few hours using Krystal's laptop to update the blog and facebook.
Later on we paid $2 each to have a shower (our first in 5 days!) then sat chatting to some of the others while dinner was prepared.
After dinner, Jimmy took us to his favourite sunset spot and we witnessed another amazing Grand Canyon sunset. Then we went to see the telescopes again and saw lots of interesting things inlcuidng Saturn, cluseters, and exploded star and a binary star.
We went to sleep quite early as we had an early start the next morning - driving to Vegas!
