Hi Everyone! First of all problem with the photos-for some reason they have gone on twice so when you see Brian with the Obamas for the 2nd time-you've seen them all!!
So here we are in the Sunshine State for a bit of relaxation-for a few days at least!! We arrived here about 9.30pm on Saturday night and found our hotel finally after a long day. Sunday we got up and headed to the pool and had a nice sunbathe-makes a change from walking around everywhere!!We done the same on Monday and it was nice not to be in a dorm with 6 other people!!
Tuesday-we get up at 6.30am to get on the 7.20am shuttle heading for Magic Kingdom. We could only pick our tickets up today so we wanted to get there early. The bus was late, it was the most battered bus you’ve seen and Trevor McDonald was the driver!! So we wait in the queue to pick the tickets up (after already arriving over 30 mins later than we should of because the shuttle was late!) only to get to the front and they cannot find our booking!! It was turning out to be one of those days! The lady tried for ages to find our booking but couldn’t so she had to send us to THE most expensive Disney hotel (The Grand Floridian) to print our booking email off. We finally get there after having to get the monorail and admiring the hotel-we had to pay $7 for 15 mins internet time and then had to pay $1 for each page we printed off!! We go back to the ticket office and finally get them printed off (see the picture of Brian kissing the ticket!!)
We finally headed off to Magic Kingdom a few hours later and headed straight for Splash Mountain to get a Fast-track ticket. We went on a few rides and seen the Disney characters walking around. The thunder storms managed to stay away until we were on our way home. We had a few drinks by the pool and then had a little late night swim to cool off! The next day we headed to Typhoon Lagoon and we had only been there a few hours when a big storm passed over us and the park had to shut for an hour and a half! We waited it out and when the sun eventually came back out most people had gone home so we hardly had to wait to get on most of the rides!!
The next day we went to Epcot-the new ride Soarin’ is amazing! We had a walk around the World Showcase, which has countries from all around the world that you can walk around. This is where we found “Nine Dragons” Chinese restaurant!!
Animal Kingdom is our favourite park at the moment-but that could all change!! We got there before the park even opened so we had first dibs on all of the big rides-even went on the new one Everest Expedition twice cos there was no queue!!Met a few of our Disney friends here and got our pics done with them (as you can see!!) We went on a Safari and saw lots of animals.
We had a day of relaxation on Saturday, got up and watched the Liverpool game (sorry we did!!) and then stayed by the pool. This was cut short however by a massive storm-was going for about 3 hours! We were just glad we weren’t in a theme park! We then had a day in Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Sunday-look out for the ride photos!! This was a really good theme park too really good rides-we got here really early too so got to go on the big rides a few times again!
Been to Blizzard Beach today-nice sunny day and for a change it hasn’t rained!! It was a good park but we preferred Typhoon Lagoon-Bri liked the wave pool better there!! Had a delicious Mexican for tea- which was lovely!!
Enjoy the photos!!
