Day 8: This morning Lara, Denis and I went for a run in the park. They have a 465m lap track in the park and free aerobics class! We did 5laps and that was enough with the altitude.
The whole group then went for breakfast at a yogurt shop then most of us took the city bus tour around Cuenca. There was a free tour around the Panama hat museum. The man that started Panama hats was from Cuenca but when Theodore Rosevelt visited Central America, he bought the straw hat from Panama and it became known as a Panama hat. Then we had a look around their cathedral which was huge and beautiful.
For lunch we went to an icecream parlour and had Sundays, then back on the bus and went to an inca museum and an inca ruins site.
Before dinner we all went to a planetarium but the show was in Spanish so most of us fell asleep in the reclining chairs!
We went to a really nice restaurant called Goza for dinner and drank Mojitos over happy hour.
