The last two weeks have been fab & I've seen some amazing things - the Australian open quarter finals, a back stage tour of the Sydney opera house and some choice sights on the bus from Adelaide city centre to Hallett Cove - wow, the 73 to stoke newington has nothing on that bus journey!

I've also been lucky enough to catch up with some friends - Eleisha, Ffion and Lisa in Melbourne, The Todds in Adelaide and Gill and Nikki in Sydney. It was amazing to catch up with all of them and especially sad to say goodbye to Helen and the Todd's in Adelaide - Helen & I both cried like crazy at the airport, which worked in my favour as the Qantas lady at the sales desk took pity on me and waived my excess luggage charge - result!

I'm currently exploring Canberra, which is kind of an odd place, but hoping to see galleries, a museum and possibly parliament tomorrow.

Also as a self-confessed TV addict I'm worried about what great TV I'm missing in the UK, when I get back I'm sure I'll catch up, worse still is that I'm getting hooked on Australian TV shows, like masterchef the professionals and am actively encouraging taxi drivers/anyone to watch it- what happens on Sun when I leave?

Tomorrow I must also plan my NZ travels, which I'm getting quite excited about thanks to various travel tips from friends, looks like it's going to be a packed month ahead.
