30th Jul: Arrived in Beijing this afternoon and went straight to a hostel which seems lovely. We are all shattered and have the great wall to go stand on tomorrow! keep you posted! 31st: beijing was not nice to us and it poured down ALL morning so obviously no great wall for us. We did however manage to do the underground city Mao had built with threat of neuclear war with russia in 70's. That was pretty cool- but tour over in a flash! Then we walked around tiananmen square and the behai lake and gardens next to the forbidden city. 1st August: Rocket hot, sunshining day- straight to the Great wall! Perfect views- a litle overrun by tourist but the most unbelievable sight ive seen- truly awesome! 2nd: almost home time! Went wandering through beijing- saw some real sights- good and bad! Then to the forbidden city and for of course...beijing roast duck!!! amazing! So close to home time- its time for me to pack, A lot more has to be said on all things mentioned here and hopefully i can do all that in person with you all very soon ( i will be updating this though- once home, as i will use it for my own journal log and print it!- so if you are stil interested- keep looking!)
