30th Jul: Arrived in Beijing this afternoon and went straight to a hostel which seems lovely. Wow, Hong Kong is amazing and we loved every minute of it (bar the arriving and departing bit as our bags are so damn heavy...32g and counting!). We had to spend a day or so longer than expected there due to sorting our train ticket to Beijing and china visa etc, but we did a lot in the time we were there. ...to be continued

Warning- this is a long one!We arrived in Chiang Mai early in the morning and we were setting off to do the trek the following day. So...woke up after a few hours sleep and contacted the canadian girls by email, (i had some frantic emails from them worrying for our lives- or they thought we'd dumped them or something! ha) we eventually tracked them down and they were ecstatic to see us and we were needing our spirits lifted!! we were miserable (lugged our bags through hanoi for 15 mins in the heat trying to find their hotel!)
