Hi all,

Just want to update as we only got three quarters through on our last Magnetic Island journal.

So we worked our last night at the bar on Wednesday which turned out to be a pretty funny night. Our bosses were out with a rep from Bundaberg (rum) and were all wining and dining and pretty much getting smashed. anyways they all went out to dinner and lucy had to taxi them there and chauffered the sweet bundaberg swanky car!!!! neece one! when they got back from dinner they decided it would be really fun to get us both loads of shots in to do behind the bar. thank god we only had an hour left at work as we did 6 shooters each before we stopped serving. we then started on the vodka and about 10 of us ended up jumping into the swimming pool fully clothed and sat in the jacuzzi drinking smirnoff ices! messy! also our supervisor who had been working that night told us all to get out and so the boys threw him in! he he!

next day we moved out of the hostel and into the boys (Frenchy and Rhys) for our last 2 days so we didnt have to pay rent. got stuff ready for our bbq on the beach. originally there were only supposed to be a few of us from work, however on Magnetic Island word gets around and there ended up being about 40 people down there with loads of beer and food for the barbie!!! it was an amazing night filled with food, drink, rhys playing his guitar and everyone singing along right on the edge of the beach. frenchy was stage diving out of the tree and everyone just had a mint time. lucy cant really remember anything .... kaz its all lies! (too much goon aka wine) but it was hillarious and nice that everyone came down because we were leaving.

the next day and our last full day on the island we pretty much nursed our hangovers, ate lunch, watched dvds and slept through the afternoon. that night we just went up to the bar and had some drinks, played pool and said bye to everyone. didnt get too much sleep as we had to be up at 6am to catch the ferry over to Townsville where our boss Steve picked us up to drive us to Airlie Beach - our next destination. It was sad to leave everyone and there were a few tears as we made some amazing friends and everyone really looked after us.
