after the night in Nelson we planned on doing a spot of dolphin watching, however due to the rubbish weather we had to give it a miss. stinker! on the subject of being smelly we had all not showered for 2 days and were forced to pay $3 each to have a hot shower at a caravan park. the best $3 we'd spent all week! we drove on the next big city which is newcastle. why ay man!!! no geordies to be seen although it was rainy and miserable with not a whole lot to do!!! spent a couple of hours there and then drove on to Glenbrook.

glenbrook is the gateway to the blue mountains. we stayed there for the night and parked shelby up in a community theatre carpark. well....if you look after the pennies the pounds look after themselves. had a rubbish nights sleep and then had to get up early to avoid any funny looks from theatre goers! we began our blue mountain tour but shelby was not too happy as she is getting on a bit and frickin hates hills and there were plenty of them!!! there are some amazing sights to be seen in the mountains however we probably picked the worst day ever as it was misty and we couldnt see s***!!!! good work! however our day was made all the brighter when laura spotted an ugg boot stall on the opposite side of the road! did a massive u turn and all indulged in a spot of retail therapy to cheer us up! (liz you would have loved it)! this continued when we found a chocolate/coffee shop where laura the german was dared by the waiter to have a chilli dipped in chocolate. she took it well apart from the tears streaming down her face and the smoke coming out of her ears!

we then drove to some caves that were an hour and a half away only to get there and decided they were too expensive (uggs were far more important) to drive on to our camp site in the megalong valley for our last night in shelby!

off to sydney tomorrow to drop her off! :( she has done us well!
