G'day folks! We are now back in civilisation after our 9 day adventure tour from Darwin. The trip began with an early morning pick up from our hostel where we met the rest of the tour group. There was 21 of us in total with only 4 guys! We then set off towards Katherine where we swam at Edith Falls and at the hot springs (which weren't very hot thankfully as it was roasting!). We spent our first night camping at Victoria River where were surprised to find out that we would be sleeping in swags (like a bivvy bag and a roll mat all in one) and not tents! Once we got used to the idea it was actually really nice sleeping under the stars apart from all the flies and the thought of snakes and spiders!!
On the second day we crossed the border from the Northern Territory into Western Australia where we took a boat trip on Lake Argyle. That night we camped at Kununurra campsite. We were up at dawn the next morning to head to the Bungle Bungles were we spent a couple of days exploring the ranges. After the Bungles, we headed to El Questro where we did lots of gorge walking and swimming. We then continued down the Gibb River Road stopping at Zebedee hot springs for a relaxing dip and at a couple of other gorges for walks and swimming. We spent a night at Windjana Creek where we took a night time stroll to see hundreds of freshwater crocodiles' eyes glowing in the torch light. The next morning we took a walk through the nearby Tunnel Creek where we saw another crocodile just a couple of meters in front of us.
We spent our last night under the stars beside the coast at Middle Lagoon and spent the final day of the tour at the beautiful beach of Cape Leveque. We made it to Broome just before sunset where the tour finished at Cable Beach. We really enjoyed the tour and saw lots of amazing places that we wouldn't have seen on our own and also met lots of really nice people.
