Today was a new breakfast experienc-eating out of the hotel! Me and ALice shared some hot houmous on toast, and each had a banana and nutella pancake, and Steve had a 'hash brown' with toast and a fried egg, except the hash brown was actually potatoes and vegetables cooked in a sauce, it was nice but I don't think STeve wa s too impressed! We watched the group of monkeys in the next tree to us.
We looked around the fort and palace, although mine and Alice's energy levels were lagging a bit when Steve wanted to go up to the palace. The palace is famous-ish for its paintings but the rooms were abit dark to see much.
The temple had an upstairs level which had no railings but I had to go back downstairs as I kept thinking the INdians would push me over the edge because I wasn't giving in to they're begging.
An indian girl gave me a friendship bracelet for free but the catch was to go to her shop, although we didn't go.
We walked to the river, which was very pretty, and I liked the fact there was an old indian man dressed in bright orange robes looking all spiritual like he was meditating on the rock and then he had his motorbike next to him. The bridge was also abit scary as it wasn't very wide and had no railings so I was scared of falling into the river everytime a big bus drove past. It was also scary when a monkey started chasing us!
I went to Blue Sky to use the wifi but there was a power cut and it sounded like Alice and STeve had a nice view of the sunset from the cenotaphs.
The restaurant we wanted to go to was near the fort, and at the time we were walking to it, the sound and light show was on, which we nearly walked right in front of! I had thought beforehand they soundded quite fun but it looked a bit boring as there wasn't much to look at! We had veg pakoras, and masala peanuts (i.e. with tomato and onion although it wa raw so I had to take it all off) and me and Alice shared Veg Koftes and Paneer Jalfrezi, and Steve had a chicken thing. It was someone in the hotels birthday so we had a slice of cake!
