Figuring out the monorail and subway was a feat in itself, but we made it to the Batu Caves. Before climbing 272 steps to the Hindu Shrine which is within a large limestone cave, you first must pass the guarding Murga statue. We admired the natural beauty and religious practices while also avoiding the cheeky monkeys yet again.
Checking off The Central Market, Merdeka Square, I <3 KL sign and KL Tower it was a packed day. We couldn't leave this city without experiencing the chaos of Chinatown. Holding on tight to our purses, we haggled, spent a few Ringitt and ate an authentic Chinese dinner. What shocked us, seemed to be the norm in Chinatown. A monkey donning a helmet and vest flew by us on a motorcycle holding tight to the driver.
Past our bedtime we headed back to our anything but shabby hostel. Back Home was chic, organic, comfortable and had fabulous rain showers.
