We took a day trip to Halong Bay the day after we arrived in Hanoi. It was a long drive, around 4 hours, and from there we took a boat around the Bay. We stopped at a cave and our guide gave us a tour around it. It was discovered around 22 years ago and has been made now so that tourists can access it. We then got on the boat again and carried on to our next stop where we rented kayaks and kayaked around the bay and into caves. It was a lot of hard work but it was beautiful. We then got back onto the boat and cruised back to the port taking photos along the way. We then took a 4 hour bus back to Hanoi.
