THE GOOD
1. Mitru Hotel - our first of many suprises in Bolivia, a great hotel with a pool, hot water, breakfast, internet and comfy beds for under 6 pounds a night!
2. Llama - These strange creatures had to get a mention as everywhere you go you are reminded of them.
3. Salt Flats - The Biggest salt flat in the world where we spent hours taking mostly silly photos.
4. Train Cemetery - At the end of the salt flat tour where old rusty trains are used for a tourist attraction! Kind of like a Junk Yard??
5. Sucre Sights - The rightful Capital of Bolivia and its charm and beautiful buildings with spectacular surroundings.
6. Origins Dance - A show of all the Bolivian dances! Extravagant and crazy costumes a great night! (amazing fancy dress ideas)
7. Flights - Booking flights due to strikes and border problems. Really any excuse to avoid the horrid Bolivian buses!
THE BAD(ASS)
1. Tupiza Horse Trekking - 2 days in the canyons, rivers and wilderness with our horses (Linda and Sundance). Shame about the girl who tagged along! But we met Greg the wilderness man!
2. Victor, Magali and Dora - The driver, the chef(drivers wife) and of course Dora the Explorer(the Jeep) What a Threesome!!!!
3. Scenery in Uyuni - Simply STUNNING! For a country so poverty striken it has more beauty than whole continents!
4.Casa Verde & Rene - A great hostel that was more a house, our own lounge, T.V., double bed and bathroom under a tenner a night. But to top it we had had Rene the kindest owner.
5. Dino Park - Footprints of the beasts that used to roam and rule the earth and life sized models to show thier awesome scale. A real treat!
6. Pizza Napolitana - A Supurb pizza place where we became 4 nights in a row regulars. (We arn't ashamed one bit either!)
THE UGLY
1. The Cold - BBBBRRRRRR!!!!! -15 at night on the tour to the salt flats. Nothing prepares you for it! Not even 4 blankets, a fleeced sleeping bag and all your clothes on!
2. Uyuni town - The most boring and ugly town, would give Bosnia a run for its money! however the funniest waiter EVER!
3. Bus To Potosi - 6 hours on bumpy, windy and narrow roads. Also knowing are bags were on top of the bus and were maybe going to fall. (thank God they didn't)
4. Potosi - The mining town, horrible hostel with sick filled toilet and broken bed. Got ill from dodgy Llama and added to the toilet mess!
5. More illness - One meal we dont eat pizza in Sucre and we both get sick and don't move from bed for a day.
6. French-Canadians - Had to endure 2 weeks with Eric and Isabelle! WHAT A BORE. Always begging mmmmuuhhhhhhhh! haha
