I got off the train on the infamous flinders street and gave some of the horses a pat, i then got chatting to 69 year old Bob who owns chip and dale and gave me a free ride worth $60 and even let me drive them! There were a lot of horses and carriages out as it's valentines day but the drivers are in a constant battle with the council putting up barriers for them!

I then got chatting to dean, bobs competitor who owns a 'unique carriage hire' company and has just set up in hong kong! The horses shoes use to wear out after just four days of road work costing hundreds of dollars a week until he came up with the idea of reinforcing the shoes and now they will last for up to 3 shoeings! 2 hot chocolates and a fresh orange juice later and I've secured a job in hong kong teaching dressage at a new equine housing complex!
