Well, then we headed to the Great Ocean Rd...
Basically it is beautiful.
Pictures don't do it justice.
But it's a long drive. I think the story is better told in pictures. We went from Melbourne to almost Port Campbell. We saw heaps of beautiful coasts, walked down a muddy staircase to see the lovely Erskine waterfall and drove down a rugged, dirt covered road to feed birds that perched on our arms and view koalas in their natural habitat. Most of the koalas we saw were high up and only showed us their backsides. They also make terrible noises.
For the last view days we have been in Sydney. Sara, mother and I have been trekking around. I have been dubbed "the cruise director." Day one we saw all the important things. We started at Circular Quay. We looked over and saw that big ugly, strange shaped building known as the Sydney Opera House and the big Harbour bridge....
We then headed over to Darling Harbour and wandered around.
We saw the Royal Botanical Gardens, took a cruise to Manly and did a bit of shopping at the market.
It was a busy day.
Yesterday we headed back to the city and walked around Hyde Park, finished shopping at the market and took a ferry to Olympic Park.
We had to walk a bit from the ferry stop to actually see things.
NRL fever had taken over at the ANZ stadium.
But on our way back, we took a bus to the train station. A road worker on the bus overheard our accents and decided to talk to us. Apparently he once lived in Colorado...
He thinks the USA is awesome because we have Wal-Mart and premade pancake mix. He said other things but I literally couldn't understand what he was saying. We just nodded.
Oops.
Surprisingly, even though the Sydney Swans are in the AFL final there is no AFL interest. Bummer for the Swans.

Sara I think I woke up one of my roommates when I started laughing at the part about the guy on the bus. If he hadn't made eye contact with me, I never would have turned and started talking to you to give away our accents.
