Well, mother and I have made it to the land down under.

After a headache....or two....

All travel went without a hitch until we arrived at LAX. I think California airports just have bad luck. Our flight was supposed to leave at 10:30 pacific time and we didn't leave until 1am. That was real life.

Words like "airplane maintenance," "fire sensing," and "manual tests" as we sat on the musty airplane, eyelids to heaving to keep up.

Literally, I was too tired to be frustrated or angry. People were flipping out and getting pissy. Waaaa waaa waaa....

13.5 hours on an airplane....I tried to sleep. I ended up watching a beginning of movie and then falling asleep and then I would wake up at the end of the next. Thrilling time, obviously.

Somehow when we arrived I was still tired.

We eventually found Julieann and her parents and headed home.

The day was spent eating at Juliann's cafe. Facebook jk cafe and catering if you're interested.... Then we ran an errand or two and walked along the beach at Cronulla. (See photo)

I think I'm going to have the song "I come from a land down under" or whatever it is called stuck in my head for awhile and will no doubt begin to dreams about Crocodile Dundee.

We are heading on a road trip down to Melbourne and the Great Ocean Rd over the next few days....
