Krys & Toni's World Adventure
Hello everyone!
We have made it accross the border to Langkawi where the weather is sunny again- yay! We've had a brilliant few days celebrating Krys' birthday and exploring.
As a birthday treat i took Krys to a very lovely hotel here with a big comfy bed (so good to feel crisp white sheets!) and a great pool. It did rain a bit on his birthday but the sun came out eventually and we took full advantage of the pool. We went to an irish bar to celebrate his 29th on the evening and met some lovely (but slightly mad) locals who took us to a reggee bar with a fab band. They let me play an instrument you shake with the band, but only for one song, and half way through a man wispered in my ear that I should shake it in time with the music- I was very offended as I'm certain I was brilliant!
One guy was a bit odd and kept telling me I was going to be the next Margaret Thatcher (and thought this was a compliment!) and that my breath smelled nice- a mixture of me and wine apparently. However, he bought Krys a tequila for his birthday and he danced really funny so we let him off. After being bought more tequila by some girls (Toni's worst nightmare of a drink) we called it a night.
I was really rough the next morning thanks to the tequila, but Krys felt fine so he enjoyed the pool while I recovered in a nice air-con room. We've also been to the seven wells waterfall, which was great. Natural slides into pools you can go down. There is one photo of me looking terrified, but managed it after much reassurance from Krys that I wouldnt die. I was already freaked out after seeing 3 troops of monkeys on the way there! We also found an amazing deserted beach in the north of the island which is probably the best we've been to so far. No-one except a few fishermen around and surrounded by big rock formations and jungle.
We're moving on the Penang tomorrow to try and find me a new bikini as I left mine in Koh Tao- D'oh!
Lots of Love
Toni and Krys x
