Krys & Toni's World Adventure
Engerland engerland engerland, england til I die I'm england til I die etc etc. We're very tired today as stayed up til pretty late here to watch the game and then had a boat to catch at 7am to come to Singapore. Next game will be worse, 3am kick off. Cant decide whether to stay up and watch it or get up and watch it!
We've had an excellent week or so since our last entry. Kuala Lumpur is probably the best city we've been to. Really clean and friendly with loads of forest and parks in the city centre. Even found a topshop (bonus!). In summary we went to the top of the 4th tallest commumnications tower in the world (now if that isnt a claim to fame what is eh?) from where the views were amazing over the city. Stayed there for sunset then we could see all the lights at night too. Kuala Lumpur also has the tallest twin towers in the world, the Petronas towers shown in our photo which were pretty cool. All in all we did lots of walking. Krys is disappearing fast and none of his shorts now fit him properly and his builders bum is getting embarassing to be honest.
We also did an overnight trip to nearby Kuala Selangor to take a boat ride on the river at night as the trees on either side are full of fireflies. It was great to watch, like loads of christmas trees with moving flashing christmas lights.
We've just come from my favourite island we've been to yet (I think I keep saying that but they just get better). Pulau Tioman on the east coast was breathtaking. Didnt start off well when on the first day there was a wild monkey blocking our path but it got better! The best bit by far was going snorkelling on the beach in front of our chalet and seeing a sea turtle. It was one of the best moments ever. We were with it for about 30 minutes just swimming next to it and watching it eat and come up for air now and then. It was sooooo cute. Krys saw a few others too so they were old news to him by the end. He also saw lots of squid and thinks he might have seen another shark but was a bit nervous to go and check. We also saw the biggest lizard we've ever seen. It looked just like a crocodile and was about the same size. Scary bloody things that just stalk about the island.
We took a day trip to an uninhabited nearby island which is where all the really nice pictures were taken. It was just fine white sand, jungle and crystal water. Very very relazing. Tioman itslef was really undeveloped where we were which was nice. Just a few beach chalets and restaurants. Really peaceful before hitting Singapore.
Got a flight out of here in 2 to Bali where we hope to avoid earthquakes, volcanoes and bombs. (sorry mums, dont worry we'll be fine!)
Lots of love
Toni and Krys x
