Well, the day has finally arrived! We are headed to Nicaragua!

Earlier this morning as I took Samantha to school, I was experiencing a wave of emotions. With leaving my girls and preparing to leave the country, I must say my flesh is weak and a little bit of fear of the unknown began to surface in my heart. Immediately, it was as if I could audibly hear the voice of The Lord actually reminding me and reading me a portion of His word in Psalm 23 straight from His heart to mine. The LORD is MY shepherd....... He comforted my heart to know that he is taking care of us, leading us and going before us. He is with us EVERYWHERE we go and we have no reason to fear! He IS the GREAT SHEPHERD. God has an awesome way of fueling our faith and diminishing fear through the power of His word! Anticipation is in my heart for an incredible mission trip and I know my shepherd is right by our side even going through the crazy busy Atlanta Hartsfield Airport & venturing into international customs! :) It's a zoo out here! Here we go...
