Post conference we also had some fun!

Sunday we rented a car and headed to Estes Park to check out the Rocky Mountains. We drove a super cool loop in Rocky Mountain National Park and then hiked up a very cool trail. The views here were amazing. So glad we made the trek to do this.

On the way, we got the crazy idea that we wanted to go white water rafting. So naturally, we called an booked it. Which meant that Monday saw us in Idaho Springs!

First we stopped at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Such a cool place. I would love to see a concert here and can totally see why it is such a popular venue.

Rafting was super cool. We had a blast and also learned a lot about the river - which is completely made from melting snow on the mountains - as well as the gold mining history of the area. Such a great activity! I could see me liking it and wanting to try a few different rivers!

We definitely made the best of our two days but now it's back to the grind!
