After a hectic weekend of trying to pack between frigid hockey games and winter carnival activities, I'm ready to roll. Suitcase weighed in at 49lbs with the backpack inside that I'll be living out of for the first few weeks. Just said my farewells to family and we're headed to the airport! After the -40 temperatures we've had this week, I couldn't be more excited for tanks and flip flops - or singles and pluggers, as they say down under.
Here's a little overview of what's to come in the next few weeks:
Toronto to Bangkok (via Taipei)
A few days of exploring Bangkok and then a dive course in Koh Tao
Next over to Vietnam to catch up with friends for some shinanigans
Then I'll be heading down under for a week of meetings and Mardi Grad celebrations in Sydney
Finally I'll be settling in Melborne for a few months of work at La Trobe University
I'll do my best to share updates and photos as often as I can - whenever I'm not spending all my time avoiding snakes and spiders.
Looking forward to sharing this trip (and many more). Keep in touch and stay weird.
