Hellos!!!

So.............picking up from where we last left off:

TAURANGHA

Saturday 9th - We woke up in a warm bed!!!!!!!!!! Woooooooooooooo! Just kinda chilled out that morning and then went to climb a mountain by the beach! Was a gorgeous clear pretty day...took some lovely photos with my new camera and all its fancy settings!!!! In the afternoon we went to Alex's grandfathers flat which was by the beach too....and used the gym, sauna, pool!! The high life!!! We also experienced the most amazing icecreams invented in life! I cant even try and explain them to you because it will just make me to hungry!!!!!!!!!!!!

ROTORUA

Sunday 10th -We left Tauranga, and drove on down to Rotoura! It wasnt far...and when we got there we went straight some free hot springs!! They were lots of ofun and nice and hot....but Rotorua STINKS of egg! Its a super super reative little town so is all sulpher smelling eggy poo!!!!!!!!!!! That evenign i cooked everyone a stir fry and we had the amazing ice creams again!! Oh memphis ice cream!!!

Monday 11th - Fun filled day of activities today!! In the morning we went to a Maori Village...and one that is how they live today as alot of the vilage tours around here are at night and are more like shows of how they used to live to dramaise it all. So even though ours was a little more tame its real and how they live today...and it was really interesting!!!We had a little show....and they showed us the haka and poi (which is this kinda dance thing with balls on the end of string!!), and sung the most beautiful songs with incredible harmonies...was so lovely. Then we had a tour of the village where they show us how they bathe, and cook (in the ground in boiling water!! they put food in water tight bags and use it as a sort of slow cooker thing!!) and then could have a look at the gazers and mud pools and have ageneral look aroud ourselves!! Lots of fun! Later on it was action time!! We took a gondola ride up a mountain and then went luging!! Which is like taboganing but with wheels and downa mountain on a treck (similar to go karting but with no engine!), which was aaaaaaaaaaaaaaamazing!! Then.........we did the SKY SWING!

The skyt swing is similar to a bungy jump but you can do it in 3's and in this ball thing and its like a swing rather than a jump!! (Theres pics on my latest album!) So they strapped us all in and hooched the ball up in the air 50 metres above the ground...ready to ping us forward up over the mountain........and muggins here (cos she chose to be inthe middle!) had to pull the chord once we were up there to release us!!!!!!!!! But i was pretty dman amazing, and pulled it on queue with no hesitation and it flung us 120kph freefall..but kinda forward over the mountain!! So fun! Then we kinda bounched around for abit spinning all over the place! Amazing!!! That evening we hostel crashed....and parked in the hostel car park and slept in there!!!

TAUPO

Tuesday 12th - We got out of Rotorua...and drove onto Taupo!!!! Wooooooooooo! Long drive....followed by some more hostel crashing and sleeping in the van on the side of the road!! Saw PJ again (a guy from aukland!), who we saw later in the evenig to do the pub quiz with, along with some american guys we met - good laugh!!! Followed by a good night out and expert pool!!!!

Wednesday 13th - Today was the day Sian (and just sian) had her sky dive booked for. So we are all having breakfast in the hostel...after stealing there showers and facilities!! And im sitting there gazing out the window thinking....no....i wanna do a sky dive too! So im uming and arrring for hours and then i went into the thingy bob and the guy rang up to see if there was space for me to jump today too and there was...SO I BOOKED IT! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! But unfortunatly we were suposed to go at 4pm, but because of the weather ut was cancelled so we were put on 10am tomorro - alx jumped on board too!

Thursday the 14th of May.........SKY DIVE DAY!!!!!

Oh my god what a day!!!!!!!! So first off I kinda thought we'd never do it anyway because of the weather..so we go to the hostel to check and low and behold its going ahead, AHHHHHHH! So we drove to the place, crapping myself the whole way! Had to pick out music for our dvd...then sign our life away (back out attempt number one...as it says not to jump with a head cold...had a few sniffles...didnt fly!). We were then ushered into the tv room to watch a previous dive on dvd, during which tears started to immerge. Then we had a talk with the lady...who i checked with that there were 3 shoots...oh no! THE GUY WAS WRONG! there was only 2, so then i actually start cyring a bit for real!!!!!! Not cool! we then had a massive wait waiting for the sky to clear as it was super cloudy, found out they put me with Reno cos i was super nervous who was AMAZING! Crazy man who was mental but also had a very calming softy side so was perfect for me! My lovely canadian Reno calmed me right down!!! We all got suited up....did bits for the dvd and had a sneaky peek of our PINK PLANE! oh yes!!! Waited around fro aaaaaaaaaagees...by which time my nerves calmed right now, even thought we may not be able to jump at one point as it started to rain....
About an hour later the sunshine came, and it was time.
Skipped on down to the pink plane and the fear came skipping on back down! Teeeeeeeeeeeeeny tiney weeny plane with no seats..we all just sat on the floor in this tiny thing!! Was about 15 mins up to the top of 15,000ft! About half way i started freaking out, so he suited us up, harnessed us together did all the checks and gave me oxygen!!! I WAS SO SCARED!!! Siany jumped out first, which i decided not to look at cs then id of backed out, then we were up!! We sat on the edge of the plane for about 2 seconds and then JUMPED!!!!
It was sooooooooo weird just free falling into nothingness!!!! Fliped around abit and span where i was freeaking but as soon as we got into the banana position I WAS LOVING IT!!! Just falling in thin air, freefalling, amazing! I cant describe the feeling it was to incredible! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had 65 seconds of freefalling with me constantly screaming yea.....amazing.....unreal etc!!!! Smiling my head off you couldnt wipe the smile of if you tried! Then...thank god! The parachut came out (accoridng to sian there was a little trouble untangling it!!! woops!!) and we flew around looking at Taupo enjoying the view, spinning, screaming, having a lil chat!! I LOVED EVERY SECOND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We got to fly around for a good 5 mins enjoying the stunning scenery before we taught me how to land, so i put my legs out, pointed my little toes and LANDED!!!

IM ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!

The adrenalin rush was unreal. And Reno was incredbily amazing with me...I LOVE HIM!! Have awesome piccies...and he took the best video for me!!! LOVE HIM!!!

Get me up on another plane now for round 2 in Franz Joseph!!! I LOVE SKY DIVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So we went out that night in Taupo celebrating and had the most amazinlgy messing but hilarious random night, loved it! Ended up with sian and me meeting some locals, one of which showed us the haka infront of the van (wahile alex was sleepinh!!) at the top of his voice at 5am.....soooo funny! But so good!!!

WELLINGTON

Next day we set of for Wellington on a long ass drive driven by moi!! Wellington is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So artsy and just really cool! We spent out first night in a caravan park..then the next day went into Wellington to go to this really amazing interative museam!!! Firstly it was free (my favorite thing in life!!), secondly we bumped into some guys from la paz at the door who we arranged to meet later (some guys who will be in fiji for my birthday -Johny and Andy), thirdly....it was INTERACTIVE!!! Earthquake rooms...jumping on rictor scale things to see how high you could make it, eco friendly lunch box games...earthquake games, colouring in, this really cool big screen thing whereyou could take photos and videos of yourself and put it up onthe wall and draw on it and things!!! soooooooooooo cool! oh and a dressing up room! Amazing!!!

Later on in the evenig we crashed aaaaaaaaaaaaanother hostel, met the guys and went out with them, me and Andy teamed up to make the nost lean mean, pool genuis machine youve ever seen!!! We played doubles....people were queing up to challenge us and we won every game!!! We had a good old seshion! Then after the night was over I managed to blag a bed in the hostel for free too...YAY!!!

SOUTH ISLAND - PICTON, NELSON AND FRANZ JOSEPH

Soooo...the next day we all decided to take the ferry over to the south island...so mooched all day in town - Sian and I had some time to ourselves doing some shopping and some tea drinking in some shops with magazines which was nice!! Then we got the ferry over to Picton at 9pm...arrived at silly o clock and then Sian drove us to Nelson - arrived at about 4 in the morning, parked on the side of the road and went to bed!!!! We woke up the next morning....had a quick look at Nelson and didnt think much of it so decided to drive on down to Franz jopeph as it was a long ass drive!!!! We arrived very late at night, so checked into a holiday park, parked up, ate, and SLEPT!!! Early the next morning we decided to get into town for thr Franz Joseph treck and get away without paying (naughty i know!! sorry parents!!!)...so i drove us in at 7am...we all then fell back asleep in the i site car park - then woke up at 11 to knocking at the van...we were like nooooooooooooo weve been found out and are going to get arrested!!! But THANK GOD it was the boys knocking on our door!!! They told us the treck was all booked up so the 5 of us did this free treck thing instead where you dont actually go on the ice. We trecked through little river things...me in my trainers, i WAS SOAKING AND FREEZING!! I DID NOT APPRECIATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway - good fun!! Later ont he in the day we said bye to the boys and went to crash our next hostel! We met two really nice girls called Sophie and Ami...who we git chatting to..chilled out with in the hot tub and then had drinkies with in the bar in the eveing who kindly told us in there dorm there was 2 free beds so me and sian shoguld sleep in them for free!! So we did! Woop! Alex stayed int he van...in the FREEZINGNESS! Yay!
