HELLO FROM NEW ZEALAND!!!!!!!!!!!!

After 4 days of solid travelling....no showers and utter hell from wearing masks cos of swine flu we finally arrived in Nz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my goodness, the minute sian and i walked off the plane and were greeted by someone saying

'hello'

rather than hola we were so happy! ENGLISH SPEAKING PEOPLE!! Because I was wearing a mask they tried to screen me for the flu buti explained i was fine!!

After getting out the airport, we asked people things in englihs, saw english signs, english shops...ENGLISH ENGLISH ENGLSIH! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!

We checked into the Base Hostel like caroline had recomended for us to do - and grabbed a much needed shower! After abotu 5 mins of getting out we also realsied we were very out of place! We were still living in our south amercian getup, which is pretty much looking liek a colourful tramp - so this had to be sorted out so

can anyone say............SHOPPING!!!!!!!!

Shopping in good shops too! We almost fainted from excitment! Got so many nice clothes....got back to the hostel, changed into NORMAL CLOTHES....but on some make up, it was amazing!! Then went to find christopher!! Chris is the guy we met right at the begining in Rio at carnival in Mellow Yellow who I got on with like a house on fire, love that guy! Then we bumped into him in the lift!! Yaaaaaaaaaaaay! Was SO good to see him! So we went down to thehostel bar with him immediatly and met his freind paul and all was amazing!! Had major catch ups with Chris, and his freind paul was lovely!! So good first welcome to New Zealand!! Yay!!! The four of us went out that night, i slowly got back my pool skills playing chris and pual loads, we took phtos, ate pizza and genrally had ltos of fun! ahhhhhhhh such a nice evening!!

Base is such an amazing hostel, pretty much like halls, or a hotel for young peolpe!!

So our second day...Sian Chris and I had a chilled day where we went out for lunch which was lots of fun...cant explain how good it was to see him! We get on like brother and sister! Then we all went shopping, Chris was my personal coat hanger and assistant!!! Then in the evening we met the guys in our room and all went to get free pizza in the hostel bar, oh yes, FREE PIZZA!! Then all went out again in the eve with chris, paul and the guys form our room, i played EXPERT POOL! (got my mojo back!!) and impressed lots of people!!! I then stayed up super late after sian went to bed to watch the rugby with the boys!! Decided to surport pauls team, good choice kate!! We won!! Chris told me all the rules of rugby and now im a pro (the game was at 4ish so we didnt get in til about 7am!!) Drank beer and wacthed rugby, and decided i now surport sarrasons at home cos i like the kit and the captain! hehe

The next day, our last day with chris..... the 3 of us went on a boat trip To DevonPort (camera less as mine died!!) which was soooo fun, we all looked around, and then went to this cafe, had a hot chocolate and we read gossip mags whilst chris read his grandad paper!! Lovely day out, really nice boat trip over there! In the evening chris bought and cooked us dinner with wine which was delish!! Thankyou christoff!! In the evening we all went out again in our little possy, again lots of pool, and staying up for rugby!!!! Stayed out til silly o clock after sian went home again, then after me Paul and Chris went to mcdonalds for breakfast and i didnt have to spend a penny!! Such a fun evening!! Love those boys!!

The next day we had to say our goodbyes to christoff....so sad!! I mean its horrible saying bye to all the poeple weve met our here but he is the only one so far thats warrented tears...he got them in Rio and got them again in Aukland!! But hes thinking of coming out to Thailand though so yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But in saying bye to Chris...we then got the arrival of Alex, yay!!! He turned up in the afternoon and we all went out for dinner which was fun!! Then went out after and met all the boys again, lovely to be reunited with Alex again - who knows my cousin Willow really well!! Small world!! All had a not so crazy evenig but still very very good!

The next day we all just kind of mooched about trying to find me a new camera but didnt get on i liked, went ou for coffee with paul and him and a girl called Roshan, and went to do the van stuff to find our transport for the next month!!! We went to a place called escape and found a tres cheapo deal and we were sorted!!!

Next day we went to Wahaka Island!! But just before we left we met darren and owen (the guys we met in Ilha Grande!)Wahake island was sooooo pretty...so the 3 of us had a really lovely day. Once we got back we litterally stayed in all night playing cards and watching a million films all through the night to try and stay up for the cheasla match at 6am!! Paul made us all breakfast at about 5amish then we went off to the english pub to watch the match! After that was over...and chealsea lost at the last in (liek i predicted!1) - we then mooched all day, all ate breakfast togetehr, then tv roomed it literally ALL DAY!!! Then went out in the evening for our last night!! So sad!! spent most of the evenig with paul, were all our til about 4ish then the others went out and me and paul came back! awwwwwww

Then it was our last day...we collected the van, came back to the hostel and said our goodbyes to everyone, had a subway, said bye to paul, ate lunch with him, sat on sofa for afes, carried my bags to van, saif bye,lots of tears!! then drove to alex aunts!!!

And that was aukland!!! I really liked the place and could really see myself living there!!
