And so comes the blog from the place I have been most excited to go to in my life.....FIJI!! Oh my god Fiji - it just gives me chills thinking back on it, I cant even begin to tell you the excitment I felt on the build up....and upon arriving there, it was absolute bliss.

Think of pure paradise,

and thats Fiji.

Where to begin!!! Well to start off with we changed our flights so we could get to Fiji a little early due to some newzealand plans chaning!! So we got a few extra days than expected which was fun times!! We had a tour booked so I think the best way to describe this is to go day by day on the tour - out tour was 15 days long so lets go with days numbered 1 - 15! Easy!

Day 0 - We arrived in Nadi late at night...as we got off the plane I'd recieved some not very nice news from home so that evening was all abit of a blur...but we packed everything and left loads of our winter stuff at the hostel and went to bed..ready to leave in the morning for the island tour.

Day 1 - As we were getting on our us to take us to the port bright and early, we got on the same bus as Ami, Sophia and Paris!!! YAY!!! So good to see them!!!! So we all took the same bus down to the boat and all had a good catch up!! Turns out we will be crossing paths after all on our island hopping!! Woo!!!!!!!!!! So exciting!! We had about a half hour with them on the boat in the nice sunshine before we got off, they were travelling from top to bottom whereas we were going bottom to top - but we cross in the middle, goos times!!! So after getting off the big boat, we had to get on a little boat to take us to our first island...

...'Southsea' - oh my goodness it was SO TINY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You get welcomed to each island by the staff all singing with guitars and stuff to you, its so sweet. Then they all shout BULA...then you have to should Bula back! - Bula means hi, hello, how are you - everything really, abit like Jambo in Swahilli! So the island was beautiful....and after exploring we bumped into PJ!!! Yay!! Total suprise as we didnt think we're see him there at all!! So that was awesome, we spent the day with him - went on a submarine trip.....sunbathed....and all ate dinner together and met some germans who we played some crazy drinking games with and we also tried KAVA!! Kava is this local drink Fijians had made of 'kava' which is a herb...mixed with water which makes this kind of muddy clay looking thing which they put in a wooden bowl and everyone sits round. They mix it all up and have about 4 little wooden bowls which they scoop up the kava into and then pass around the circle one by one. Before you drink you clap once and say 'bula', drink, then clap 3 more times!! Its very weird, its abit like alcolhol but not...makes your tongue go all numb and you lose feeling in your legs abit!! But its all very legal, kids drink it! Fijians drink it more than alcohol!

Day 2 - In the morning saldy PJ left...he was on the same tour but 2 days ahead of us - so we will sometimes bump into him on the boat but thats about it!! Oh!! Anyways - today we had a snorkelling trip which was fun!! I saw lots of Doreys from finding nemo, got bitten by alot of sea lice and saw some gorgeous multi coloured amazing fish!! In the day we tried to sunbathe bcrazy crazy windy...and not much sun!! So that didnt work out to great....and the evevning was abit non to really - not a very good bunch of people on the island and we were starting to worry abit about the group for our tour! But little did we know....tomorro everything would fall into place!!

Day 3 - So today was our last day on South Sea (i forgot to mention in its smallness that you could walk around the island in 5 mins, see a 365 veiw of the sea from the centr of the island if you just do a spin, and that there was only 32 beds on the entire island!!) Anyway!! So yes...today was our trip onboard the famous Seaspray around the islands! I had said to Sian at breakfast even though it was cloudy 'i think everything going to get better today, today is the day we were orignally supposed ot arrive in Fiji, so maybe it wasnt meant to be any day before that!! I bet the sun comes out!!' So yes, we got onboard, dumb here forgot the tickets but managed to blag it!!!It was cool...then i had a look around the boat and found Andy and Jonny! Yay!! Things were looking up, the sun came out!! So we caught up with the boys before jumping aboard the Seaspray! It was a gorgeous yaught with unlimted drink and a bbq for lunch!! The sun was now clear blue.....I was flat out on the front of the boat sunbathing, with a glass of wine in hand - heading towards Castaway Island, heaven!!!! Castaway island is the island that funily enough 'Castaway' with Tom Hanks was filmed....its a uninhabited island with white sand, 2 beaches (like the bar in scillies mum as you were saying!). It was so so so beautiful, and we had about an hour to play there! The boys wacked down a million cocunuts as me and sian explored mainly taking a million photos of each other and the scenery! Went for a swim....and generally soaked in how stunning it was!!! After our hour was up we jumped back on the boat, and had a bbq lunch! We also then got to know a french guy called eddie who was sort of on our tour so it was nice to meet him! After lunch we vistised another island which had a local village on it who did us a little show with singing - and offered everyone Kava again, Jonny was chosen as cheif so had to have his first! We then got to look at some really cute markets where we all bought some jewelery! Yay! Back on the boat...on route back to Southsea, we were informed the main boat was broken and we had to wait on Mana island for god knows how long, so me and sian smuggled some champagne and wine off the boat and cracked it open with the boys and eddie while we were waiting which was funny!! Eventually about 3 hours later the boat turned up, took us back to southsea IT WAS SO WINDY! So all of us sat up top, got drenched by the waves it was so rough - but HILARIOUS! Eventually got back where we'd missed dinner and they ust wrapped it in some clingfilm for us!! Sad times! Oh well! Then the 4 of us just sat in the hammock struggling to get comfy with so many people...and relaxed!!


Day 4 - Today it was time to move to Wai Lai Lai!! Oh my god it was sooooooo much prettier than South Sea! We had a lovely lunhc...then Me and Sian went to a bracelet making class! WE wove 2 bracelts each out of dried banana leaves! Was so cool - they look really impressive! I made one...then she was like which design would you like to do next....so I showed her, but she did it wrong so I was just like...sorry - can i make it up and do my own!! hehhehe - made a really nice one!! After we came back the boys found loads of leaves and asked me to make them some more which i attmepted to do hehe - then eddie started making some amazing ones so we left it to him! Me and andy went on shell searches...and found some nice guinni monies!! Jonny found me a flower for behind my ear....was covered in bracelets - was all fiji'd up!! In the evening we all met for dinner, and we got to know 2 girls called liz and brittany from canada! I got on with brittany like a house on fire it was hilariuos, think she is my long lost sister, love her!!! On the beach there was a bonfire so we all joined around there for abit...then after I went up to the bar to get involved in some more Kava where eddie had been festering all night, he was hilarious!! Met a couple who were from pool! wooo! Ben and Nicky...so sweet! All round funny night!

Day 5 - Stunning day!! 9 o clock we had a free snorkelling trip with sharks...which brittany and me were slightly sceptical about cos you know....its sharks!? So kinda had a pact of if we didnt want to go we wouldnt! So anyway - we got on the boat out there with everyone and as soon as we got there we were gave one look at each other and were like yea....NO!!! So funny - so we stayed in the boat and watched everyone swim with actual reef sharks up to 2 metres long - we could see them over the side of the boat anyway we didnt need to go in and id alreayd been snorkelling!! haha.

So we're watching everyone - and we joined another group from Kuata and i spotted ami, sophia and paris in the water!! yayyyyyyyyyyyyy! So nice to see them again and such a suprise!! wooooooooooo! Ami swam over the sharks and was like 'ive swam over shark infested waters to wish you happy birthday for tomorro' So that was fun, good times! After my non trip snorkelling we all headed back to Wai Lai Lai on a mental boat journey with a crazy ass man driving this tiny little spead boat thing! Sunbathed most of the afternoon...until a boat arrievd on the island and it was Ami and Paris again who'd come over for a day trip!! Yay! So got to spend some more time with them which was cool - cos i wasnt going to see them on my actual birthday cos the silly tour put them on a different island! Then.........dum dum dum......sophia SWAM from Kuata over to Wai Lai Lai to say happy birthdya! took her about a half hour...bless! so sweet! So after all that fun we did our free sumit walk!! Jonny didnt come as he wasnt feeling well - but me sian liz brittany eddie and andy and the rest of the group started out little treck up through the mountains! Looked like a scene out of lost....took about 45 mins to get to the top, was pretty damn cool actually! Me and Andy pretty much walked together the whole time discussing our favorite cold and hot sandwidges etc....so funny! When we got back to camp, we found out all power on the island had gone!! noooooooooo! So i had to shower in pitch black, so not only was it in the dark, it was a freezing cold shower, of which i couldnt find my flip flops to shower in so i showered in my trainers, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH not fun! Then had to use my camera as a torch afterwoulds to find my clothes as I couldnt find my torch..bit of a nightmare! Down at dinner they thankfully had a generater for light so all was a bit better!!! Then we had a showwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! woooo! It was so amazing!! Lasted about a half hour....dancing, singing, fire eatnig! Was so good - they were amazing dancers!!! Then after they got the whole audience up to particpate, we learnt the bula dance! Then did this massive conga snake thing...so funnny. Then everyone was like - ITS KATES BIRTHDAY AT 12! So they got me up infront of everyone and had to do a little dance and then everyone sang to me!! Yay!! Then i got photos with all the dancers...was hilarious! Then me and Sian danced with all the dancers for ages before heading down to the beach and bonfire with everyone else. Oh my god what an eveing it was bringing my birthday in! Absolute gold!! Lots and LOTS of drinking, fire walking, skinny dipping with andy stealing our clohtes, then me losing my undewear entirely, putting brittanys on convinced it was mine! It was SUCH a funny evening - i loved it!!! Slowly everyone went to bed, then me andy and jonny sat on the beach til the early hours chatting, was so nice! Had the best evening!!!!!

Day 6 - MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Yay birthday!! So woke up VERY hungover which was abit annoying but it was ok cos it was my birthday! Had a pancake breakfast..LOVELY! Sian gave me my cards...which was cool! We then lazed around in hammocks waiting for the boat to get there, then we went to Korovo island! Again - stunning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This one had a pool as well - so we all checked into out dorm, joined up with the french boys again and lazed by the pool allllllllll day! Just what I wanted! It was such a pretty sunny blue hot day too...first one where there wasnt a cloud in sight i was so lucky!! We watched the sunset...then prepared for dinner! Us 4 girls all wore pretty dresses - and then all 8 of us grabbed a table all together and had a lovely dinner...everyone bought me drinks, sian gave me her present it ws perfect! Then we got another show...amazing! Learnt the Bula dance again...then got put up ion stage again!! Everyone sung happy birthday again...the frenchies then eveing gave me a rendition in French! Amazing - double birthday celebrations..woooo! Again - we had the funniest night! Wont go into details...but it was just as good, lots of dancing, skinny dipping again - and massages from the french!! hehehe. Was the best birthday ever!!!!!!!!! After the night was over - at about 4am me and brit then spent about an hour giggling in my bed waking the whole hostel up it was the funniest thing ever....i dont even no what was so funny but i dont think ive ever laughed so much in my life!!!

Day 7 - Again hangovers strike - but not as bad as yesterday hehe! Oh i forgot to say about yesterday! Me and Sian are makign trave journals...and she stole mine and got everyone to write happy birthday in it its so sweet! I love it so much!! Anyway! Yes...so today was an interesting day with all the reprocutions of yesterday coming to light, was hilarious! Me Britany and Sian had such a giggle! Had ALOT of sun.....funny funny day...then all had our last dinner with Britany and Liz in the eve as we were going to different islands the next day...so sad!!!! But we had an amzing evening with them, drinking AGAIN! urg!!!!! But yes lots of fun - but sad as we had to say goodbye to them the next day!! grrr!

Day 8 - Last day with liz and brit!! Had breakfast all together, me and brit drank tea through straws and laughed some mroe as we do!! hehe. Had a sunbathy morning, wrote in each others books then we had to say goodbye! ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhwa! That wasnt fun at all! Lukily they will bein oz when we get to cairns so we wil be seeing them again, WOOP! We left for coral veiw, after a photo shoot with them and a video recording of mine and brits show er me love du du du du dance! hehehe. we all got to coral view after the windiest boat journey EVER!!! But we did have white chocolate magnums so that made everything ok!! hehe
After arriving in Coral View me and Sian had some girly time - and after PJ informed us on the boat he told us about a secluded beach which was super pretty, so we went to find it and did! Then conked out on the beach and fell asleep. Only to be woken up by the water coming up to my towl and i was like ahhhh wake up! Grabbed all our stuff and realsied we were totally stranded and out of it! So we had to wade back through the water to find our way home, got totally lost, thankfully bumped into the frenchies who took us home as we were super disorientated!!! Funny though! Had a chilled evening that night - only a few cocktails, had another show, then spoke to a few new people then went to bed, we needed it!!

Day 9 - Mess around day! Funniest day!! In the morning we had a caves trip - so we had a nice little boat trip to the caves which was nice, met a lovely guy called Josh from melbourne so had nice lil chats with him! We got to the caves and it was sooooooooo cool! But then i realised it ws pitch black, i didnt had a mask cos you needed to pay...and you had to swim under water for like 3 metres in pitch black in a really tight space to get to the second lot of caved so I passed and just saw the first one which was still cool! ahhhhhh so scary! So yes, that was fun! Made our way back to Coral view and had lunch with josh and his freind which was cool - then they were off to anotehr island so said bye to them and exchanged details for when me and sian come to melbourne. Apparently the bacon is good there, better than egland?! think not!! So me and Josh are going to have a bacon off when we get there, englad will deffo win!! The rest of the day was messaround kiddy day....me sian andy and jonny had some fun on the grass - the boys taught me how to play rugby which was hilarious..then it turned into acrobatics....breakdacing, sausage roll races! Then andy and jonny decided to play 'throw the kate' - where one would hold me like a baby..then actualy chuck me to the other one back and forth. LOVELY! They have this constant joke on how small i am.... hehe. Hilariousssssssss day i had so much fun!! And i won the sausage roll race of course!! In the eve it was another not so mad one.....just got a bottle of wine and chilled with the frenchies and learnt some french, was fun!

Day 10 - The morning on Coral Veiw was again filled with childish antics - me and andy decided to take to each other with a biro and draw tattoos on each others feet, legs, back! So funny, with so much effort put into each by drawing pratcise ones in my book and everything!! Jonny did a shark dive and joined us all after to inspect our artwork!! Then we all had lunch and had our send off from the island, then got the boat to Manta Ray which was SO PRETTY! like so pretty! I loved it!!!!!!!!! Me Jonny, andy, sian, nicky and ben all got the kayaks and went kayaking in the goregous sea!! Played lots of games, which the girls won every time!! We had relays of girls v boys, WHICH WE WON, then a relay where the first person had to go, then number two had to get into there kayak, then they went then nuumber 3 had to get in so all 3 of you were in the kayak. Us 3 mastered it with ease and beat the boys with flying colours without falling in once....the boys coudnt even get one in. Not cool boys.....losers!! So that was lots of fun, then we all played vollyball! We were all pretty rubbish so the aim of the whole hour was to try and just get atleast 1 ralley where everyone touched the bal....took a while - and a thumb injury later we did it! Funniest day! We then all had dinner together with games....Andy had to try and open a coconut by karate chopping it...failed. hehe. Then there was a limbo competition which i beasted!!!! Came second.....but the winner was a member of staff who always plays, very camp and bendy so i think secretly i actually won!!! Funny night, lots of reminising and thoughts about how we're all going to miss each other!

Day 11 - Time to leave Manta Ray....chilled morning of sunbathing and photo swapping before getting the boat to beach comber! On the boat we had lots of giggles, me and andy swapped tops, we all listend to a ricky gervais post cast....funny journey tooooooooooooo the party island!! Massive 100 bed dorms there, met a sweet girl called Cleo. Tonight was the bringing in of Andys birthday! (birhtday number 2!) so a big night! Jonny bought andy these mental tobasco and rum shots, and all the boys were doing tequiala suicides which i refrained from!!! Funny funny night, andy got mentally drunk ended up being very very ill! Was sooo funny! Me and Ben did alot of david brent impression dance dancing which went down well - all together hilarious eveing!!!


Day 12 - Andys birthday!!! Great day....to start me and Sian crawled into bed with him for birthday cuddles whilst he opened all his cards (think he was in heaven! hehe). We all chiled out on the beach and becuase it was his brithdya, and the bringinig in of sians birthay we all decided ro dress up, shipwrecked style by 'wearing the island'! So leaves and stuf!! But also that morning the boat arrived....with SOPHIA ON IT! YAY!!! So yes....in the afternoon we raied the island for leaves and things!! Me and Sian took it upon ourselves to make everyones outfits (all 10/15 of them!!!!!) we were totally stuck...but then lukcily clive (a guy who works there) came over and showed us how it was done! Then we were on fire and made everyones....dress maker ladies!! Wooo! The evening was drawing in....so we all got dressed in our leaves and we actually all looked amazing. incredible actually if i may say so! We had a table reserved which was all decorated too for us all, was so fun!!! Had another increcbildy messy funny random evenign with everyone, and eddie came for it to! So it was me sian eddie jonny andy (sadly nicky and ben had left) cleo sophie alice and 2 other girls along with the french! Sooooooooooo fun! More bula dancing was done, infatc when it was time for us all to learn us 5 girls got up on stage to demonstrate!! hehehehehehe such a good evening or antics, and lots of heart to hearts!! Loved it - im just going to miss everyone so much!!

Day 13 - Sians birthday!!! Sadly the weather was poo........and it was the day the boys left (ohhhhhhhhhh) but we still had fun! Started off as abit pf mess though...i couldnt walk so was hobbling around, managed to spill my tea all down me, then a tired to pour some water but the top of the jug came off so water went all down me! Good start!! As the day went on we played mini golf, and had our last hours with the boys. Actually in the morning we with them at he bar, i was flicking jonny with water (very lightly!!) and he said if you do that 3 more times your going in the water...so me being me flicked him 3 more times! So he grabbed me and carried me down to the water, got all the fiji men to smack my bum then threw me in!! I cleveryl managed to stay standing up, but then he face dunked me to make me look like a total mess! Thanks Jonny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So then i threw a whole glass of water at his head....but missed. Good work me!!! hehe. So yea later that afternoon we all chilled togetehr, then said our goodbyes...so sad!! But they will bein sydney when we are so we will deffo see them agan! So yes, picked ourselves up as it was sians birthday!!!! We all had dinner - i gave her her present (a top i printed saying Kate likes sian....did i mention her present to me was the same kinda thing? a t shirt saynig 'kate likes cheese, kate lieks meat.....kate alsolikes her feet!!) we have this kate lieks thing....its funny! So me sophia cleo alice and sian had anice evening celebrating sians birthday! was just abit hard as me and sian both cut out feet on coral the otehr day and were struggling slightly, and at this point i actually couldnt walk, so danced on one leg or danced sitting down!! Fun night though!!

Day 14 - Our last propper day in Fiji....and a chilled one at that - and another cloudy day!! Ohhhhhhhwa!! OUr first 2 days had poo weather, and the last two did too! Oh well....we cloudbathed and I finished my book - I'm reading so much!! I hope your proud mum!! We had our last lunch, did some more lounging - said our goodbyes to Cleo....(as she was the only one left!!). We'd said bye to Alice and Sophia in the morning which was super sad!!! After leaving we had the boat journey back to mainland, then hobbled on down to dinner at another hostel and to our suprise we saw Nicky and Ben!! With the other 2 girls we'd met too! So we joined them all for dinner which was a nice surprise and had pizza and a nice lil catch up - after all we're not seen them for a day!! Madness!!!


Day 15 -Oh my god - HORRIBLE DAY!!! So we got up at stupid o clock to get the stupid plane....up at 5! argggggggg! so we get our taxi to the airport....then ready to jump on the old plane at 9am - sailed through all the riff raff, got on early - have amazing seats, loads of leg room, great films.....all is good! Until firstly then we realised the flight number is 911.

Then after waiting on the plane for like an hour we are told there is a fault with the plane, then to keep wiating every half hour, then we get told to disembark the plane as the fault is worse than they thought, then we had to wait in the ariport for hours (with everything closed!! useless!!), eventually got put back on the plane....only to then wait loads again, then be told that the staff as past legal hours now so they had to chnage over, and fly in a new ipilot from the other side of bloody Fiji!!! FOR GOODNESS SAKE!!!! So eventually 5 hours later we set off - and iver never been so terrified on a plane ever, literally hyperventilating, crying - had to nexk loads of wine to calm my nerves, it was horrible.

Never felt so happy when that silly plane eventually landed. I WAS NOT HAPPY!

So anyway - bar the stupid stupid flight, Fiji was indescribable - incredible, beautiful, relaxing, mad, party heaven, sunny, and full of amazing people and I just had the best time ever!! Best birthday ever, best everything ever ever ever!!!!

Missing everyone.....especially Brittany, Liz, Andy, Jonny, PJ, Sophia, Ami, Eddie (and the other 3 frenchies..niko, damien and romain), Nicky and Ben!!
