Cassie picking me up in LA was like a dream, it felt so surreal to be with her again and after 5 mins of chatting it felt like we never left each other, it was so weird, we hadn't seen each other for 6 months and now were back together again! Ha the last time I saw her I was waving her off on the fastest trotro out of my Ghanaian village to travel 4 hours in rush hour to make her flight! What an experience, we shared some amazing times together. So I was staying with Cassie for 5 days in LA and had a great time, she was so good to me, running about getting me a sim card, taking me to the doctors …(YES! First world healthcare for the first time in 9 months), taking me to taco bell whenever I wanted etc. I met some of her friends from the restaurant she works at and visited her there on Santa Monica Pier and had lunch with her. I walked down to Venice; I couldn't believe I was in LA! Wow, thousands of people were cycling, walking their dogs, jogging, rollerblading, on segways, tandems, you name it, going along the boardwalk. It was brilliant to see. And then I got down to Venice which reminded me of a Camden market on the beach, loads of cool vintage clothes, fortune tellers, palm readers, people selling really cool jewelry and some funky bars along the way. We also went out in Hollywood one night to see this piss take of 80s metal bands called Steel Panther, they were awesome, totally ridiculous costumes, performance, and everything was pretty outrageous. There was a huge plasma screen at the back of the stage, the camera men went round pointing the camera on every girls boobs in the front row and waited until they pulled there tops up, I literally saw about 30 girls boobs on a huge plasma TV screen. I was totally shocked, Cassie just turned round and shouted to me over the music "Welcome to Hollywood!!!" we made it out to Anaheim to Disneyland too which was a great finish to my little visit. Looked just like every other Disney land in the world but the fact I was back 10 years after my last visit to this one was pretty cool. The Indian Jones ride was defiantly the best, I remember being petrified of that one when I was younger, I kept my eyes closed the whole time. Sarah beet me making it to Disney Tokyo so she's done all of them, but ill make it there one day!
