I arrived in Puerto Vallarta after a night in Mexico City and a short Aero Mexican flight. I could not get over the Mexico City airport, probably the best airport I've seen in my life. They had a fancy monorail linking terminals, the architectural design was stunning, the shops were lined out really well and there were disabled people in wheelchairs about the place working as information points…what a brilliant idea. Well Mexico wasn't actually too exciting, although I was only there for four days. Puerto Vallarta was a typical resort town; full of tourist shops, guides touting dolphin tours and over priced restaurants along the beach, don't get me wrong it was stunning but I don't know maybe I've got a little blasé in my travelers old age.Although it was beautiful, there were some really old beautiful churches, lots of little streets, the weather was gorgour, the ocean water was warm, the mountain backdrop was stunning and beaches were pretty, i dont know, i would really love to go back there but when im in a better mood and not missing Chris so terribly. I was staying with Kathys (my neighbors) family; who were all really lovely, had a huge expensive home and got to eat at the Westin where the father works, eat fancy food and generally poodle about, just became another daughter really! So after that I was off to LA to meet Cassie and then onto Grampas in Santa Barbara.
