We are now at Mum's Uncle Greg & Pom's house in Beerwah,we didnt have a lot of distance to travel today but we ended up spending nearly 4 hours in the car after getting stuck in roadworks for over an hour, Dad was a bit cranky about that, it was also very hot on our way here 34 degrees. A very laid back day today, swimming and relaxing, it has been very nice, still quite windy here. We also went and had a look around the town today and saw the big Pier and also some people kite surfing in the water because it was so windy. We went to the Hervey Bay Boat Club on the Marina for tea and it was yummy, we had an ice cream and a walk aroud the marina after tea.

Today we went Whale Watching, the winds had stopped when we woke up so off we went to the ferry departure point, we were all very excited, however after about 15 minutes the excitement had morphed into anxiety as we headed out into very rough seas, all the people on the boat were feeling queasy, some had gone past the queasy stage, if you get what I mean, we were not immune from this, the kids more so than Anna & I, anyway we got them to lie down for a few ...

Today we have had a very laid back day, we spent a fair bit of time in the pool and really didnt do too much else. We are hoping to go Whale watching tomorrow but it has been very windy up here and they have cancelled all whale tours today due to the rough seas. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

We are now at our furtherst Northern Point, Hervey Bay, and we are staying in a 5 star resort here called The Akama Resort. It took 4 1/2 hours to drive up from the Gold Coast, we stopped in Gympie and had Hungry Jacks for lunch. We had another swim in the pool here this afternoon, tomorrow we are going to have a failry quiet day relaxing and doing some more school work, we are going Whale Watching on Wednesday which we are all looking forward to.
