Secondly- my sincerest apologies to all. Aman- shamelfull I know that I have not been in touch yet. Lengthy emails are indeed needing to be written. I wana know all the goss! Can't believe uv been to Ireland already- ah! And to everyone- look- me and Darren are broke. And when I say broke i mean- WE HAVE NO MONEY. And the net is pretty pricey so im thinkin the blogs are gona have to wait. And this comp doesnt have the software to upload my pics. We're havin a great time, in Koh Tao at the mo, in a gorgeous little isoltaed place with our own beach and spa and little shack on a hill- tis paradise. Going snoklin with black tips 2moro morning then diving with 5m long bad boys on Friday (hopefully if the boat can get out and I find some money- cough cough). K, we're gona take a wee stroll through the town now and check out if theres a more chilled out version of the full moon party going on tonight. Will try to write a full blog if i find time and dosh. But we're safe and well and having a blast, even if we are doing some serious scrimpage. Will try to get some postcards written when I hava mo too. xxx

hey moaners!!(only joking)
Im sure the website will be updated very shortly. At the moment were in Ko Tao (think thats how you spell it!) Were staying in a wee resort called "Sai Thong" which is a brilliant place...cant get there by car so its a short boat trip or a jungle trek, we've opted, naturally, for the former everytime. Its got a couple of beachs and one is an absolute gem palm trees rope swings hammocks and deck chairs all over it.....a big change from portobello which is as glamorous as it gets back home! The reason for the lack of messages, updates..etc is not what you may all think...I'll say no more....it is infact because we only get internet access at night and its quite expensive! Were in the main town now next to the peir in an internet cafe! Kirst just spoke to ''Dive point" asking about diving with sharks, the nice lady informed me that i could infact go snorkelling with the lovely graceful "harmless" black tip sharks! Amazing but alas, my Big toe is a little bit sore so I'm gonna pass! Absolutely gutted...its not a problem I see them every other week in my worst nightmare so I'll survive (literally) Kirst, on the other hand, may not and I assure every worrier that she will be returned in as little number of peices possible (one being the target) I'll leave that up to jaws...he's bigger than me and i dont want to be any trouble. As for everything else its all good and noone needs to worry!
Hope all the boys enjoyed 'T and didnt drink too much juice!
Email me if anyone has a spare moment!
Much Love

Hear hear! Have been checking your website every time I come online but hey, see it this way, you must be having a ball out there. All the more reason to. Being back in good ole Blighty(!) is culture-shocking yet it is almost like I've never been away with Mummy Johal getting me to do all the domestic duties, how exciting(!) *rolls eyes*. Just been doing all the bits and bobs lately plus a visit to Ireland *grins*. If you manage to spare a couple of moments, upload your album if you can't be bothered to rattle your brains writing a postcard. That way, we'll get a feel of your experience. It's weird knowing that I'm not going back to Malaysia, still think of the kids *sighs*. Let me know what's happening with your August plans as I think I'm going up to Newcastle mid-August and could pop up to Edinburgh for a couple of days. A lot of my friends are up to Edinburgh this weekend for a guy's 21st. Would love to tag along but I'd rather save it for you to show me all the hotspots *winks*. Expect a long overdue e-mail heading your way, filling you in with all the goss at my end *smirks* :p Meanwhile, missing you heaps and keep living it large out there! x

I'll second Granny's message! We are feeling abandoned here without your lengthy, colourful postcards. Thailand must be fantastic, but we can't enjoy the experience without your essays. Us oldies have all been having a vicarious (look it up in the dictionary) gap year of our own via you and we're not ready to come home yet!!! Send us an update soon! lots of love Mum xxxxxxxxxxxx

I am suffering from lack of information, as are all my friends. Nothing exiting is happening in our lives at the moment. Brighten up our day with tales of your adventures, even the bits we might be better not to know about.
Malcolm has returned from T in the Park but has not wakened up yet. Aunty Janice is back from seeing Ruth in London. Fergus and Rachel are off to greece tomorrow, John and Susanne are going to Oporto to see the Stones next month. Rotten sods, they might have taken me as well.
I am busy letting Masie out in the morning coz your mum and dad are at Ardtoe, letting Buffy out even if she does'nt want to go, and remembering to let Masie back in at night.
Hamish returns early Thursday morning but heads straight for Ardtoe.
Hope Darren and you are having a good time. NOT ENOUGH INFORMATION!
Love Granny, Fergus and Malcolm

"As the traveller who has once been from home is wiser than he who has never left his own doorstep, so a knowledge of one other culture should sharpen our ability to scrutinize more steadily, to appreciate more lovingly, our own."
I hope that all is going well with your travels. I thought you might appreciate the above quote. Sabah isn't quite the same without you (I think Little Italy might be going out of business!).
For me, Nemo and the treasures of the deep await tomorrow. I can't wait!!!
Take care, and best wishes always.
Love Edward

Ahh, ok. So we're alive and well. In Krabi, Thailand at the mo. Tis low season so its pretty quiet and a bit overcast, but still having a fab time. Quick recapm on Singapore- went down Orchard Road, checked out some of the shops, went on a night safari, which was cool then headed up to Thailand on various trains. Took us 2 entire days to reach our destination of Krabi. Staying in a nice hotel a little bit along the coast from the main strip.Spent today booking everything and buying DVDs. Going elephant treking tomorrow morning and rock climbing in the afternoon. Then the next day we're heading to Koh Phi Phi, where "The Beach" was flimed, staying there 1 night, then heading to Koh Phi Phi Don for a the day before heading back to the mainland, switching to cheaper accomm, then going on a jungle/waterfall trek to some lagoons the next day then finally taking an island hopping tour on the last day (I've forgotten which day it is just now so I don't know the actual days we're doin stuff!) Then we're getting the night bus then ferry to Ko Tao- will be arriving there early on Wednesday morning. Hoping to stay there for a few nights before heading for Bankok, then Kho Chang, then Chiang Mai.Hope we'll be able to fit it all in. Will try to do a proper update at some point. Hope all's well at home. x
Mum
Kirsty, your website still thinks you are in Penampang!! We need updates! How was Singapore? What was your train journey into Thailand like? Give us all a few crumbs................. lots of love Mum xxxxx
