T minus 1.

Tomorrow morning, Lazaro and I begin our vacation. This vacation will be like every other vacation that we have taken--a whirlwind tour crossing several states and entering new countries. In case you haven't heard, this year we are heading to Puerto Rico by way of Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Along the way to Ft Lauderdale, we are going to make a couple of stops and visit with friends and family. Once we arrive to Puerto Rico, we will split our time approximately in 3 locations (San Juan, Culebra, and Vieques). I say approximately because we have one day unbooked. I think this is my Christmas gift to Lazaro. One day of going with the flow and seeing where the day takes us. (This may be my undoing--but it should make for an interesting post).

The "fun" has already begun where I have started second guessing all of my travel arrangements. In the end, I have become frightened by the prospect of taking the ferry and have opted to fly between the islands.

As with all of my trips, I have one "I must do"-- this year it is to visit the bioluminscent bay. Last year it was the monarch butterflies. I did not get to see the butterflies because of the unseasonably cold weather Mexico experienced, so I am hoping this year it will work out.

We should have wifi at every location, so I will continue to post updates and pictures. So glad you will be able to join us on our vacation!
