Today we traveled to the town of Patzcuaro in the state of Michocan. It is about 1 hour from Morelia. The town is very old and on a lake. It is known for its carnitas (pork slow cooked marinated in citrus juices and spices). Our plan was to grab some carnitas for lunch then head north to see some ruins at Tzinstanzan. Yesterday, Lazaro and I arrived to his home town called tlaltenango de Sanchez roman. His sister, josephina and her son axel picked us up from the bus station. They took us for a quick visit to his mom's house, where were joined by his oldest sister, Paulita and brother Paco. We arrived last night in Guadalajara, even at night the city was visibly nicer than monterrey. In monterrey, the city had a Detroit -like vibe. A shell of its former self.
